I think I’m out of my mind . . .

In one very real sense, everyone in-world is out of their mind. We have consciously transferred our minds, however temporary, into our avatar existence. How we do that and what we become during this period of transference is completely up to us. It is our world and our imagination. (more…)

My first Jira post . . .

First, let me start by apologizing for my continued limited presence in-world. Although both my RL wife and I are better, we are up to our noses in paper work and house work as we prepare for her eventual arrival. Woohoo! I have, of course, had the odd occasion to spend a few minutes at a time in-world and hope to soon increase that. (more…)

Tag, I’m it???

It would appear that I have befallen the deadly tag monster and must now rattle off eight random facts about my puppet master. As anyone who truly knows me, I tend to be a rather quite person, yet I am seldom introspective, therefore I shall endeavor to do my best in this regard. (more…)

Bumpy start to the voyage . . .

It would appear that at least one thing has gone well in the last couple days. The inn in which I have decided to lodge for the week has a rather advanced capability, allowing me to use my three-dimensional, aethereal communications device at my leisure. Of course, as the installation of the previously mentioned steam engine was delayed due to unrelated events, leisure is hard to come by. (more…)

A voyage awaits . . .

It has been a little while since I have arrived upon the shores of Caledon. I have thus far enjoyed my time despite the occasional issue with my three-dimensional, aethereal, communications device. Recently, though, events have transpired that have made communications difficult, to say the least. I do apologize for my inability to stay current and to have been on-line. (more…)

Who does that???

This morning, my little Remembrance Day commemoration nearly didn’t happen. I went to my land in Janus and was rudely accosted by the effects of a spinning box of grief. It seemed to think that I needed to be animated in some way, though what way I do not know. I didn’t say Ok to the offer to make me do untold actions. Ironically, because of the assault on my world, I was unable to move even one millimetre. (more…)

Mushiness all around . . .

Huzzah! Yes, uncharacteristic enthusiasm on my part at this time of year. I’m not one to embrace the chilling of my place of material existence, nor the sudden lack of available sunlight, so I tend to become somewhat less enthusiastic overall during the long, Canadian winter. To add to it, RL has been particularly challenging to one’s emotional state lately, thus adding an additional damper upon my usual jovial demeanor. Yet life goes on and so does the party! (more…)

Mainland Architecture . . . an oxymoron

Ok, I am the first to admit that I am not a whiz when it comes to architectural design sensibilities. I build things that appeal to me and I try to make them such that they appeal to others. On the mainland, there appears to be an “anything goes” sort of mentality. Some builds are just painful to look at. (more…)

ARGH!!!!

It is seldom that I can be accused of being a man of few words, but the way I feel right now, the only word that readily comes to mind is “Argh!” Since shortly after my SL birth, I have been selling the odd item from one of my plots of land around the world. Well, selling isn’t quite the correct term. It is more apt to say that I’ve had various items up for sale. The other day, I decided to put my latest creation on the market: the Steampunk Skydiving Lift. It’s about time. (more…)
