Playing with my organ . . .

There is the old line: If at first you don’t succeed, try and try again. I don’t always take this to heart. Sometimes, I look at something that I’ve attempted and say “Well, it wasn’t really worth doing in the first place.” There are other times, when it truly is important to try and try again. (more…)

Fine Waistcoats by E.Laval

It must be made clear from the start that I do not consider myself to be an authority on fashion. Truth be told, there is little to which I am an authority. That said, I feel that those who do profess a certain authoritative quality towards fashion do not always express opinions that match my own. I suppose it is just this visionary diversity that makes life, both real and virtual, so entertaining. (more…)

How do we get in?

This past Thursday, I hosted a Septemberfest dance as part of Steelhead and Caledon’s Harvest Festival. I had tremendous fun organizing the event and was happy it went off without a hitch. Or rather, I would have been happier had it gone off without a hitch. Apparently, it is important that people be able to find the place. (more…)

ARGH!!!!

It is seldom that I can be accused of being a man of few words, but the way I feel right now, the only word that readily comes to mind is “Argh!” Since shortly after my SL birth, I have been selling the odd item from one of my plots of land around the world. I give up… to an extent

During my spare moments, I’ve been working on a project that I thought would be quite handy: networked vendors. It began with the need to create a vendor that supported commissions and soon feature creep took over. I added a communications protocol with defined data packets. I had functions to packetize the data, to encrypt the packets and then to reverse at the other end. There was token passing and there was . . . . Well, you get the picture. (more…)

My new Stormhold plot’s here!

Stormhold is here! Wee! Suddenly, I had a flashback to Steve Martin, whoever he is, exclaiming “The new phone book’s here! The new phone book’s here!” Although I might lack his wit, I share his enthusiasm. Today, I took delivery of my new plots of land nestled upon the mountain range in Stormhold. It overlooks the valley below and Tanglewood in the distance. I couldn’t be happier (in SL). (more…)
